3/22/2024 - New Product Features. Browse Groups on the main opening menu are now grouped by function. Search by Occupations, Popular "Transferability Search" systems, Industry / Early Return to Work (Notice the new NAICS search to look for lighter duty, graduated return to work ideas), Interest, Training, or Military to Civilian. Job Browser Pro Web and OASYS Web customers can also filter the displayed list by selecting one or more Filters - say Sedentary and Unskilled. At the bottom of each screen is also a "DOT Estimate Report" button to quickly get this report for the selected list. The Description tab now has a "Basic DOT Copy" button - click to copy the DOT basic information, then paste into an external application or document. On the Reports tab, notice the new "Show Report" button at the top of page. This makes it easy to Select a previously stored and named report format, then just click the "Show Report" button to build the report for you.

2/16/2024 - FINAL SECOND WAVE ORS Data - Occupational Requirements Survey is now available in Job Browser Pro PC & Web and in OASYS Web! This latest release has data on 477 of the 848 Civilian SOC groups, covering about 90% of the US labor force. We will make more details available to you soon.

11/21/2023 - Canadian Wage Data has been updated to work with the latest NOC 2021 codes. From the Labor Market Information Group Employment/Wages tab, click the Canadian flag icon, then choose the Province and Sub-Area, then click the "Get Canadian Wage Data" button.

11/13/2023 - We have updated various database files. These include the new May 2022 OEWS data, September 2022 Employment Projections, 2022 Census employment data, new NAICS 2022 industry coding, and significant enhancements to the way we link NAICS 2022 industries to the DOT. This last enhancement required 6 months to review and update more than 30,000 links between the new NAICS 2022 and the 12,761 DOT occupations. The net result of this effort is an increase in how the SkillTRAN Industry Context method is able to estimate on average more than 90% of employment for most occupational groups.

Our research and development work continues to enable us to bring you the latest (April 2022) OEWS data. This latest data set fully embraces the SOC 2018 system, though creates 10 different "aggregated" SOC groups for reporting of wages and employment numbers. It also has fully adopted the 2022 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). This has triggered a lengthy review of how we connect each DOT occupation to the new SOC and now to the new NAICS. So far, we have manually changed more than 25,000 cross references. The meticulous review of this essential data file is critical to our DOT Estimation process. The end result is increased accuracy in our estimation and more complete coverage of all the industries reported in the OEWS for each SOC group. We thank you for your patience while we approach the conclusion of this key research.

1/11/2023 - The format of the Occupational Requirements Survey (ORS) data available in Job Browser Pro (PC & Web) and in OASYS Web was updated today to improve organization, reporting and visual presentation and to improve use in smaller screens (such as portrait/landscape modes on a Smart Phone).

12/14/2022 - Occupational Requirements Survey (ORS) preliminary data for 2022 is now available on the web and Job Browser Pro PC products. There are 426 SOC Groups covered in this release, which is about 50.2% of the 848 civilian SOC occupations, but these cover about 91.7% of the current labor force.

9/10/2022 Job Browser Pro Web and OASYS Web now include a Labor Market Distribution graph on the DOT Estimate page to better show data in terms of labor market share by Strength and SVP for all of the DOT occupations in the selected SOC Group. ALSO (by popular request), we have added a 'Show AIR-SSA' button to the Requirements tab for a selected occupation to show certain values from O*NET associated with SSA-sponsored research conducted by the American Institute of Research (AIR). These values were suggested in the year 2000 to SSA. Use discretion with these reported values based on the sample size (N) of observations and source shown for each value.

5/26/2022 - We have updated our web-based services (and Job Browser Pro PC version to 1.7.4.1) to better align the DOT estimates produced in each. There is some small residual variation attributable to differing levels of mathematic precision. Please let us know of any specific examples where this does not seem to be accurate.

5/13/2022 - We have updated our web-based services (and Job Browser Pro PC version 1.7.4) with the new OEWS 2021 Wage and Salary data. This release today also includes changes to how we link every DOT occupation to NAICS industries. This release eliminates all double counting of employment statistics and is the result of many months of intense research by SkillTRAN. There will be more updates in September when long term updates to the Projections data finally synchronizes with the newer OEWS structure again based on SOC 2018. We also have 2021 Census Data for wages and employment.

Click the new "Show ORS Data" button on the Requirements tab of an Occupational Description or next to a SOC Code on the Codes tab when ORS Data is available. ORS data can also be shown (and printed) from the DOT Estimate screen when the "Show All DOTs in this SOC Group" button is clicked. 5/28/2018 - Latest Current Employment Statistics (CES) as of April 2018

The latest CES Statistics have been added to the Industry Analyzer. CES Statistics show gross overall employment across all occupations in an industry sector over time, some industries going back as far as 1939! 

5/27/2018 - May 2017 OES Data + County Business Patterns for 2016

We are now using the latest OES data released March 30, 2018 for May 2017. This new data set begins to use some of the latest SOC 2017 coding, which collapses certain SOC 2010 occupations together. Details here:  https://www.bls.gov/oes/changes_2017.htm

This new web site will map to these changes by 6/1/2018.
