About

Version 1.1 sometimes has an installation glitch and forgets to copy a system file called IDDBAS32.DLL. Follow these additional instructions if you encounter an error message mentioning this file after doing a normal installation.

Standard Instructions:
Use the floppy disk that shipped with the Job Browser Pro CD-ROM product. In some installations, this file must be manually copied from the floppy disk to the location where Job Browser is installed. If you have misplaced this disk, request this file from SkillTRAN.The missing file is called IDDBAS32.DLL - Be sure that Windows Explorer can see it. If you don't "see" it on the floppy disk, change how Windows Explorer "sees" and reports files, open Windows Explorer per below:

Under Windows 95 or NT (Workstation or Server)
Click View, Options. The View tab has a radio button on it that should be selected called "Show All Files". Then click OK.

Under Windows 98
Click View, Folder Options, then click the View tab.
Under Hidden files, select the "Show All Files", then click OK.

Now you will be able to "see" the system file IDDBAS32.DLL

Next, assuming that you chose the default installation path, copy the file IDDBAS32.DLL to this folder (assuming default installation):
       C:\JobQuest\JobBroswer

To copy a file

  1. Left click on the file name, then right click on Copy.
  2. To actually place the file where it must be, navigate to the correct folder, right click on the folder (usually called C:\JobQuest\JobBroswer) then left click on Paste.

The file will be copied from the floppy to that folder location.
Keep the floppy disk in a safe place. You will likely need it during a reinstallation of the product.

Once the IDDBAS32.DLL file exists in that subfolder to the JobQuest folder, the product should work properly. If you encounter any additional difficulty, please call or email for further assistance. I am in the Pacific Time Zone (3 hours earlier than East Coast).
